KARACHI  - The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has rejected the news reports published in a section of the Press regarding the discussions about the successor of Altaf Hussain as baseless, misleading and irresponsible.

It said that there was not an iota of truth in these reports that were being purposely spread to create confusion among MQM workers and sympathisers about the party leadership.  The Committee said that the conspiracies to create disharmony in the rank and file of the MQM by spreading baseless reports and malicious comments by certain journalists would come to nothing.  It further said that the workers and office-bearers of the MQM were firmly united and organised under the leadership of Altaf Hussain.
