BANNU- The General Officer Commanding Engineering Division, Major General Akhtar Jamil Rao declared that conducting the North Waziristan operation had become unavoidable.

According to him, the majority of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) in Bannu are children and women; this segment constitutes 74 percent of IDPs.

According to our reports, 84 percent IDPs are staying in Bannu while 5500 affected families are residing in Dera Ismael Khan.
