Man killed in drive-by shooting

LAHORE - A 45-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Baghbanpura late Monday night.
Ajmal Hussain returned from Saudi Arabia a couple of days ago to mourn the death of his father, who had died in a road mishap.
Police Tuesday said Hussain, a resident of Baghbanpura, riding in a car (LEO-4979) was going to see his second wife when two motorcyclists intercepted him near Shadipura. The gunmen opened straight fire on the car-rider and fled instantly.
Hussain sustained multiple bullet wounds and was rushed to hospital, where he expired later. The police reached the spot and moved the body to the morgue for autopsy.
Police investigators say that the Saudi Arabia-based Hussain had two wives in Lahore.
An official said the police are investigating the killing keep in view different aspects of the happening. The police have registered a murder case against unidentified killers and are investigating with no arrest made yet.
Found dead: A 55-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances from Data Darbar police precincts on early Tuesday. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. Investigators say they believe the man, unidentified so far, was an addict, who expired because of taking excessive drugs.
