MQM leader Rauf Siddiqui secures bail in six cases

KARACHI: Rauf Siddiqui, a senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, secured a protective bail from the Sindh High Court in six different cases registered against him.

Cases against Siddiqui were registered in police stations of Sohrab Goth, Quaidabad, Super Highway and Gaddap City.

Sindh High Court granted bail to the MQM leader in six cases for 10 days, asking him to submit security bonds of Rs. 20000 for each case.

The Court also summoned a detailed report of cases against Siddiqui from IG Sindh Police on July 29.

The MQM leader's counsel said that all six cases against his client are based on single accusation which is listening and clapping on the speech of MQM supremo Altaf Hussain.
