Islamabad - The first Islamabad Carnival would be held here at Arts and Craft Village today (Friday), having variety of fun-filled activities.

The three-day event will have the following activities including art exhibition, Pyara Pakistan photography competition, and a painting competition.

Games, cosplay, magic show, thematic face painting, mehandi and nail art, fire juggling show, live puppet show, and fire dance show will be arranged on the occasion.

Sky lanterns and peace support ceremony, cultural performances, dance performances, instrumental performances will also be arranged.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) has organised a two-day weekly book bazaar from Friday at its premises here for the revival of book reading culture in the society. The publishers and book sellers of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have set up their stalls at the weekly book bazaar.

The bazaar will be opened at 9:00am and conclude around 7:00pm in the evening. The bazaar is open for students and general public. The visitors would have opportunity to find books on diversified subjects under one roof at discounted prices.
