‘Risked my life’ for Pakistan: Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that he had addressed election rallies in Karak and Bannu despite threats to my life as this election is the time for Pakistan to change for the better.

The PTI chief also announced to remove the veil from ‘foreign critters’ during rally in Karachi. He went on to say that the foreign critters have made an evil nexus with local mafia.

Responding to a question on the terror threat, he stated that he held rallies in terror-stricken Bannu and Kirk despite threats to his life. Imran revealed that he was informed by the officials of the law enforcement agencies about threats to his life.

“We are going everywhere to deliver our message. They had informed us in a written message that suicide attackers could target me in Karak and Bannu, but I risked my life since this election is a historic event for Pakistan,” Imran said while speaking to the media at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Karachi ahead of his party’s rally.

He also accused the Karachi administration of stopping PTI supporters from heading towards the rally venue. “I will request the Sindh IG to facilitate the public in reaching the rally,” he said.

Imran rejected claims made by some rival groups about pre-poll rigging. “Those who broke records of rigging in previous elections are crying about it today. They are guilty themselves,” he said. The cricketer-turned politician said that July 25 [Election Day] is the time to change the Pakistan.
