More than 15,000 workers including officers of the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) are in the field to dispose of sacrificial animals in Lahore.

On the eve of Eidul Azha, LWMC distributed 1.5 million biodegradable bags among the citizens to ensure the cleanliness of the city.

The citizens are collecting bags from 290 model camps after getting their names entered.

Under the cleaning plan, 330 excavators, 266 trolleys, 185 loaders, and 1,022 dumpers are engaged in lifting waste from the city. An additional 3,500 pickups are being used to dump the waste.

Lahore Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz says that cleanliness arrangements are complete in the city. He urged the citizens to cooperate with the management.

The LWMC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rafia Haider asked the citizens to cooperate with the management and workers and asked them to put the waste in biodegradable bags and leave it outside their homes.
