QUETTA - Governor Balochistan, Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi has said that environment in Balochistan was conducive for foreign investment. He expressed these views while talking to newsmen after a meeting with foreign ambassadors and diplomats of Switzerland, Malaysia, Austria, South Korea and Germany. Governor said that Balochistan Government had invited foreign ambassadors to apprise them about the investment opportunities besides telling them that situation was not deteriorated in the province to the extent which the foreign people have in their minds. He said that this was first time that a large number of diplomats visited Balochistan and added that ambassadors of four more countries could not arrive due to their personal engagements. Responding to a question, he said that there were some security concerns in the minds of diplomats but we told them that there was no big security problem in Balochistan. He said that all possible steps would be taken for the security of foreign and national investors. Earlier he briefed the diplomats about the investment opportunities in Balochistan. The briefing was arranged at Governor's House. Governor said that overall, law and order situation was better in Balochistan as compared to other parts of country. He said that putting Balochistan on the way of development was the responsibility of government and it was fully aware about its responsibility in this regard. He said that provincial government had raised the reservation of people of Balochistan with the federal government.  He hoped that the reconciliation process which was started by the government would succeed. On this occasion foreign ambassadors told the journalists that there were rich opportunities of investments in Balochistan and added that they would inform the investment companies of their respective companies about the investment opportunities in Balochistan.
