KARACHI - At least two people including a women were shot dead on Saturday in separate incidents took place in different areas of the metropolitan, while four people were shot injured during dacoity and cell phones snatching attempts, said police. Providing the detail of the incident, police said that a woman, mother of five children was shot dead by bandits within jurisdiction of Gulistan-e-Johar police station, one of the dacoits was arrested with the help of deceased's children and area people, while his other two accomplices managed to flee, said police. Police said that the incident took place when three robbers entered in a house located in Block 4, Mughal Hazara Goth. The culprits made hostage to the entire family at gunpoint and tried to rob them. The deceased named Shamim 50, w/o Bashir, committed resist. During the attempt, the robbers opened fire on her and escaped from the scene. Police said that the area people gathered outside the house when they heard the sound of firing, soon following the incident, the area police also reached the spot. With the help of deceased's children police have arrested one of the dacoits, who was identified as Ashraf Ali. Police further said that the arrested robber was a professional criminal and he recently released from Karachi Central Jail. Though, during the investigation, the police have also arrested two more suspects in the connection of the incident. The body of the deceased was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for legal formalities. Later the FIR number 308/08 was registered on behalf of Bashir. On the other side, Shamim 45, was shot dead by unidentified culprits while his nephew named Naimat Khan aged 25 was shot and injured within the jurisdiction of Shah Latif PS. Police said that the deceased along with his nephew was busy with their work in his warehouse placed at Omer Marwi Goth, suddenly some unidentified armed men reached there and spread them with the bullets and managed to flee. Following the incident, the people reached the spot and took the victims to JPMC but Shamim dead on arrival while Naimat said to be in very critical condition. The area police suspected that the old enmity was behind the motive of the incident, they also said that the deceased's one brother, who was a policeman, was killed around four years ago.  The deceased was the resident of Hijrat Colony. The FIR of the incident was not registered till filing of this report. Though, three people were shot injured during mobile phones snatching attempts in different areas. In which some unidentified robbers shot and injured Azhar Iqbal in North Nazimabad, Block N. in another incident, Saleem 20, was shot and inured by dacoits in Ahsanabad, Sohrab Goth. Meanwhile, Nasir was injured in Behns Colony.
