Preparations to celebrate Olympic Day finalised

LAHORE The Punjab Cycling Association is hold a race on June 23 to mark the Olympic Day under the programme of the International Olympic Committee. The association is holding the Tour-de Lahore Cycle Race with a purpose to broaden the scope of activities to make the founding of Olympic Movement. The race will start at 06.00 AM from Punjab Stadium, Ferozepur Road, Lahore and proceed to Ferozepur Road-Kalma Chowk-Ittefaq Bridge-Qainchi toward Walton Road-Girja Chowk-Upper Mall Road-Fortress Stadium-Canal toward FC college-Ferozepur Road and will terminate at the originating point i.e Punjab Stadium Lahore. The organising secretary of this race will be Sardar Nazakat Ali, Punjab cycling coach. The chief guest of the opening ceremony will be Athar Saeed Butt Consultant Sports Board Punjab while chief guest for closing ceremony will be Ch. Kamran Amin, President Punjab Cycling Association who will give away trophies to the winners. That is open cycle race and interested cyclists have been to report to Mr. Qaisar Siddique Bhatti Punjab Cycling coach at 5.30 AM at the starting point at Punjab Stadium Ferozepur Road, Lahore.
