ISLAMABAD Jamhuri Watan Party Chief, Talal Bugti, filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Monday requesting the apex court to take suo moto notice for the arrest of the accused in the murder case of his father Nawab Akbar Bugti and issue red warrants against former president Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf and ex-prime minister Shaukat Aziz. Talal Bugti in his plea told the court that the accused of his fathers assassination were not being arrested despite registration of FIR against them and Balochistan High Courts orders in this regard. He requested for criminal proceedings against the culprits. Besides Pervez Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and then governor, chief minister and home minister of Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani, Jam Yusuf and Shoaib Nausherwani respectively have been nominated in the FIR. The petition was filed by Rafique Sanjrani along with his other legal associates on behalf of JWP Chief Talal Bugti. It may be recalled here that Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation in 2006 in Balochistan. Talal held that four nominees of the said FIR were present in the country but police were reluctant to take action against them. Earlier after his party meeting, Talal while talking to media persons informed that his party had formed a ten-member team of lawyers which would lodge a petition in SC for the arrest of Nawab Akbar Bugtis killers. Talal also pointed out that the missing of over 13,000 persons from Murree and Bugti areas and exodus of over 30,000 locals to Afghanistan were regrettable incidents.
