SI killed in Quetta

QUETTA - In yet another incident of target killing, a sub-inspector of Balochistan Constabulary was gunned down in the provincial capital on Monday. The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack. According to police, when Sub-Inspector Nabi Bakhsh reached near Kili Shah Muhammad, in the outskirts of Quetta, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on him, killing him on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, personnel of the law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy. Police said it was an incident of target killing. Police handed over the body of the slain inspector to his heirs after completing legal formalities and started further investigation. Meanwhile, Azad Baloch, who clamed to be the spokesman of defunct Baloch Liberation Army, accepted responsibility for this crime, saying that Sub-Inspector Nabi Bakhsh Marri was spying for the government agencies and creating hurdles in the way of Baloch resistance movement, he was, therefore, targeted.
