WARBURTON - A police ASI and an official of Judicial courts Nankana Sahib were gunned down by unknown car riders here the other day.
Nankana DPO Muhammad Ashfaq Anwar has constituted various teams for arrest the murderers within days.
Reportedly, ASI Muhammad Iftikhar Rehmani and Najam Mann, residents of nearby Valgan Sohail and Machrala villages, were on the way to their offices on a motorbike. When they reached Baggi Masjid on Nankana-Mananwala Road, some unknown persons in a car opened fire on them. Resultantly, Najam Mann died on the spot while ASI Iftikhar was Allied Hospital Faisalabad where he could not survive. 
The reason behind the murders was yet to ascertained.
However, the Nankana DPO assured the bereaved families of arrest of the assassins.
