Three newborn babies died in District Headquarters Teaching Hospital as the newborns of M Asif, Khalid Umer and Saleem were brought to the hospital for treatment but they expired there.
The medical superintendent said that only two newborns had expired while one of them hailed from Khushab and the other from Sargodha district. He claimed that both the kids were in underweight position and referred to DHQ from private hospitals in intense serious condition while one baby was suffering from respiratory problem.
Meanwhile, District Coordination Officer Saquib Manan visited the hospital and examined the medical facilities were being provided in the children ward. The DCO urged the health officials to enhance facilities especially for newborn babies.
