ATTOCK - Three persons drowned while swimming in the River Indus and River Sawan on Sunday. As per details, Waqas, 22, and Junaid, 21, both employees of TMA Hazro, had gone to river Indus to beat the scorching heat. While swimming, they went into deep waters and could not face the gushing waves and drowned. Their bodies could not be recovered till filing of the report. In Pindigheb one Muhammad Adnan, 18, resident of village Naka Kalan drowned in River Sawan where he had gone for fishing. His dead body was recovered by the locals. On the other hand in Fateh Jang the strike of TMA and Revenue employees entered sixth consecutive day against the Assistant Commissioner Fateh Jang. The whole city is facing acute shortage of water owing to the week-long strike of the employees.
