TOBA TEK SINGH-The birth anniversary of slain PPP chairperson and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was observed by PPP leaders and workers on Tuesday.
Quran Khawani was arranged in PPP office here while a party meeting was addressed by district PPP information secretary Zulfiqar Ali Nasir, city PPP president Zulfiqar Ali and other office-bearers. They paid tributes to the slain BB, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and two brothers Murtaza Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto.
They said Bilawal Bhutto was greatly performing responsibilities of chairmanship of the party and soon the PPP will again be the most popular party of the country.
TRANSPORTERS OVERCHARGING PASSENGERS
On public complaints, the district coordination officer directed RTA secretary Arooj Fatima to take action against the transporters overcharging the passengers.
Due to the construction of Lahore-Multan and Karachi-Lahore-Peshawar motorways near Toba Tek Singh, a state of the art general bus stand will be constructed at district headquarter.
Existing stand is located in congested area and on small piece of land while new stand will be built outside the city.
FOOD POISONING: Five members of a family became fainted away after taking milk in Chak 410 JB. Tasleem, Ali, Akbar, Usman and Sana took milk and went to farmland for work where they fainted. Neighboring farmers informed Rescue 1122 and its staff shifted them to DHQ Hospital.
