Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Law, Barrister Ali Zafar says the caretaker government is trying to ensure merit in all transfers and postings in bureaucracy, reported by Radio Pakistan.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the government is working under its defined responsibilities given in the Constitution.

The minister said the decisions regarding shuffling in bureaucracy are being taken in consultation with Election Commission of Pakistan.

He said the federal government is making utmost efforts to ensure free and fair elections in peaceful manner and within stipulated time frame.

Ali Zafar urged people to come forward to make the election a success.
