The current embroilment of warring parties with different agendas presents the prospect of logjam in the political affairs of the country. The conflict of PCO and non-PCO Judges defies resolution. The basic reason was the self-confessed extra-constitutional step of former COAS who inflicted the emergency plus with a PCO on us to send judges of the Superior Courts packing. That defies correction and bedevils the entire system of governance in Pakistan. They say the treatment of snakebite is in the very serum of the snake from which snake charmers make an antidote for snakebite. Maybe we can reverse the unconstitutional step of a former COAS only by a 24 hours PCO by another COAS.
