QUETTA – Five people including two police personnel were killed in firing incidents in different towns of Balochistan on Wednesday.
Unidentified armed assailants opened indiscriminate firing on two police personnel at a picket located at Samungli Road of Quetta.  As a result, both received critical wounds and succumbed to their injuries before reaching the hospital.  The bodies were moved to Sandeman Provincial Hospital for autopsy. The deceased were identified as Liaquat and Niamatullah.
Police quoting eyewitnesses said the assailants were riding a motorbike and fled from the scene after committing the crime.  However, motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.
Separately, unidentified armed men shot dead a person near Jabal-Noorul Quran Western Bypass area of Quetta. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Alam Satakzai. Police shifted body to hospital for autopsy.  In another incident, two persons were shot dead in Usta Muhammad area of Jaffarabad district. Bebarg and Abdul Sattar were riding a motorbike when armed men opened indiscriminate firing on them and escaped from the scene. Resultantly, both received critical injuries and died on the spot.
Police say old enmity is behind the killings and investigations are underway into the incident.
Meanwhile, police arrested three suspects during a search action against anti-social elements in Kharotabad area of Quetta.
The accused were identified as Saleh Muhammad, Baz Muhammad and Balgar. Police
shifted them to undisclosed location for investigation.
