KARACHI - Pakistan and China enjoy deep-friendly ties which are strengthening further with the passage of time. This was stated by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad here on Wednesday.
He was talking to a Chinese delegation which called on him here at the Governor House. The delegation was led by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, Liu Jian, said a statement issued here on Wednesday. The Sindh Governor pointed out that Karachi was the commercial and economic hub of Pakistan. He said that many foreign investors have showed interest for coming up for investment in Karachi. Dr Ebad further stated that the people of Sindh and particularly those of Karachi are awaiting Chinese investors for investment in mega projects.
He said that there was a need for investment in infrastructure, higher education, water, sewerage and transport etc. The Governor hoped that the Chinese would come up with investment in mega projects in these areas.
The Ambassador of China, Liu Jian, said that Karachi is certainly an attractive city for investment and investment could produce positive results.
He further stated that investment here is safe as well as profitable. The Ambassador said that such an investment would also help bring the people of the two countries even closer.
Admissions open in FUUAST: The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Wednesday announced that admissions in evening programme were open at its both campuses: Gulshan and Abdul Haq.
In Abdul Haq campus admissions are available in BS and Masters in Mass Communication, BS and MA in Economics and MCom. In Gulshan campus admissions are available BS Commerce, MCom, MA English, BS in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Physics, Microbiology and Chemistry, besides MSc in Physics, Environmental Science, Chemistry and Mathematical Studies, MSc in Computer Science and Pharm D. NTS test would only be required for admission in Pharm D.
Forms could be obtained from prescribed banks or downloaded from the varsity website and submitted by March 26 in Gulshan branch of Askari Bank, National Bank, UBL and ABL, and Baba-e-Urdu road branch of ABL.
Admissions are also available in evening program of Management Sciences in Abdul Haq campus only. These programs include BBA, MBA, M Com, BS Commerce, MS and Phd in Economics, MS in Finance and MEF. For admission in Management Sciences the last date of submission of admission form is March 30.
