LAHORE – Chung police claimed to have busted three gangs involved in more than 77 crimes of cars jacking, motorcycles theft and other robberies in the City on Wednesday.

The arrested accused were identified as Imran alias Mana, Sohail, Faryad, Ameen alias Mena, Mustafa, Muhammad Hussain alias Faqeer and Rashid alias Rasho. Police have also recovered four cars, a van, fake number plates, master keys, 15 mobile phones, gold ornaments, cash prizes and other valuables from their possession.

DIG (Operations) Lahore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the raiding police teams.

Meanwhile, PHP also arrested 13 culprits and recovered illegal firearms, liquor and stolen timber from their possession. The arrested accused were identified as Abid Akram, Rab Nawaz, Basher Ahmed, Sakhawat Hussain, Shafqat, Saqib, Abdul Hameed, Aslam, Atta Muhamma, Imran and Altaf Hussain. The accused have been handed over to the local police for further interrogation.
