LAHORE – Gangsters held up a Karachi-based trader at gunpoint and fled away after snatching one and a half kilogram of gold ornaments, worth Rs 6 million, in Baghbanpura area, police sources said on Wednesday.

Muhammad Aslam had arrived in Lahore on Tuesday night. He was visiting a Baghbanpura jeweller to hand over the ordered jewellery to him. However, the local trader objected to the designs and refused to accept the jewellery, leaving the trader with no other option but to go back to Karachi, taking with him the gold ornaments.

The trader was leaving the area when two gunmen on a motorcyclist intercepted him. They held him up at gunpoint and snatched the gold ornaments. Aslam has appealed to the Chief Minister to help him.
