Super Eight T20 from 25th




RAWALPINDI - Faysal Bank Super Eight Twenty20 Cricket Tournament will commence from March 25 till April first, this was announced by the organisers of the event at a press conference here Wednesday.
The tournament will start from March 25 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. A total of eight teams will participate in the event and are divided into two groups. Group-A comprising Faisalabad Wolves, Peshawar Panthers, Karachi Zebras and Lahore Lions while Lahore Eagles, Sialkot Stallions, Rawalpindi Rams and Karachi Dolphins are in Group-B.
Speaking at the occasion, Aarij Ali, head retail, Faysal Bank reiterated the bank’s commitment to cricket.
Commenting on the event Subhan Ahmad, PCB Chief Operating Officer said: "PCB's resolve is to further strengthen the domestic game in line with our vision of providing cricketing opportunities at all levels and in achieving this objective Faysal Bank has been our valued partner. The PCB values this partnership that goes a long way in improving the standard of domestic cricket in the country.”
This is second-edition of Faysal Bank Super 8 T- 20 tournament and to ensure that quality domestic cricket reaches to as many venues as possible, this time Rawalpindi has been selected as the host city after Faisalabad last year and will be an opportunity for the people of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to come and watch the national stars playing in front of them, Subhan concluded.
Two matches will be played every day, starting at 4:00pm, and 8:00pm respectively. The first and second semi-final will be held on March 31 while the final of the event will be played on April 1. The first semi-final will be played between winners of Group (A) against runners-up of Group (B) while the second semi-final between winner of Group (B) against runners up of Group (A).
The opening match will be played between Faisalabad Wolves and Peshawar Panthers. The winners of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 2.5 million, while runners up will receive Rs one million cash award.

March30: Karachi Dolphins-Lahore Eagles, Rawalpindi Rams-Sialkot Stallions
First semi-final: March 31;

Final: April 1.
