LAHORE -  An intelligent transport project has been designed keeping in view the increasing traffic load of the City under which traffic experts will maintain the flow of traffic with the help of information and communications technology.

While addressing a meeting held to review the Metro Bus Service project here on Wednesday, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the project would provide speedy transport facility of international standard to the passengers. Talking about the future projects of the Punjab government, the CM said that parking plazas would be constructed on Ferozepur Road to provide safe parking facility to traders and others.

He assured that 32km track of the metro bus service from Kahna to Shahadra would be completed in time with the help of Turkey. He directed side by side construction of track so the project was completed as early as possible. The meeting was attended by Bus Rapid Transit System Chairman Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmed, Planning & Development Chairman, DCO, LDA DG, Chief Traffic Officer, Commissioner and assembly members.
