Motorcyclist shot dead in street fight



LAHORE – Five men shot dead a motorcycle during their scuffle, which erupted following the bike of the deceased hit a child who sustained slight injuries in the Batapur area, police said on Thursday.
The motorcyclist, identified as Mohsin, a resident of Dogaran Kalan, was on his way home when his two-wheeler hit a boy, who was playing in the street. According to police investigators, the relatives of the injured boy, identified as Ansar, Ishraft Kamal, Nasir Jamal, Saif Aslam, and Asghar Lal approached the motorcyclists. They exchanged harsh words with Mohsin, took out of gun and opened straight fire at him.
Mohsim sustained serious bullet wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The gunmen managed to escape from the crime scene. The police later reached the spot and removed the body top the morgue for autopsy. A murder case has also been against the accused persons while the police are investigating.
Found dead: A 40-year-old man was recovered dead from the limits of Data Darbar police station on Thursday.
Some local residents spotted the man, later identified as Ghulam Qadir, lying in unconscious condition near the main bazaar Data Darbar and informed the police.  The man was rushed to a local hospital where he expired later. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating.  
Suicide: A youth committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in the Badami Bagh area on Thursday.
The family told the police that Amjad consumed poisonous pills after being admonished by his father over a domestic issue. The police handed over the body to family after the fulfilling legal formalities.
