KARACHI (PR) - United Bank Limited (UBL) donates to many worthy causes in the areas of education, health and community development as part of its CSR agenda. UBL has supported The Citizens Foundation (TCF) in the past for various projects related to education of underprivileged children. After donating substantially to TCF through the years, this year under TCF’s ‘Adopt a School’ project, UBL has taken up the entire responsibility of financially supporting one school in Garho, Sindh from scratch – involving its construction and further operational support over three years.
To commemorate the event, a cheque handing over ceremony was held at the UBL Head office recently. Atif R Bokhari, President & CEO UBL, along with other senior executives of UBL handed over the cheque worth Rs 12.5 million, for the UBL Garho School to Mushtaq Chhapra, Chairman TCF and his colleagues.
On this occasion, Atif R. Bokhari, President UBL, said, “We as a nation need to pin our hopes for the future on educating our children. UBL passionately believes in equal education opportunities for everyone and we support worthy causes, such as those undertaken by TCF in spreading education”.
Mushtaq Chhapra, Chairman TCF said, “We thank UBL for its support in this project. The school will promote education in Garho and eventually bring about a positive change in the future of this town’s community”.
