Lahore: A tree-plantation campaign was launched in Government Islamia College Civil Lines.  Divisional Forest Officer Dr Akmal Raheem, who was guest of honour on this occasion, delivered a lecture on the merits and advantages of trees in a country. Later, Principal Prof Khalid Javaid and the guest of honour jointly inaugurated the plantation drive by planting a sapling on the college premises. All the heads also planted saplings in their respective departments.  A large number of students who attended the ceremony planted saplings after the names of their parents.–Staff Reporter
