Islamabad - Ongoing interviews to appoint permanent executive director of Higher Education Commission has been completed.
Chairman HEC Dr Mukhtar Ahmed headed the interview committee with Federal Secretary Education & Training Ahmed Farooq Bazi, Dr Sania Nishtar, Dr Masood Hamid and Vice-Chancellor Pir Mehar Ali Zahei University Dr Rai Naiz Ahmed were part of the team. According to sources, the 10 short listed names comprised of Dr Rafiq Baloch, committee interviewed Dr Mazhar Saeed, Dr Kamran Jahangir, Dr Qasier, Dr Abbass, Noor Amna Malik and three other interviewees. According to rules, executive director person should have PhD degree with 1st division, with good leadership qualities. The HEC board has the authority to appoint a person on executive director post.
The HEC committee will be forwarded three names to board, which will be selecting one of person to be hired on the post. The meeting of the board will summon soon.
