MQM doesn’t believe in violence: Altaf

KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has claimed that party does not believe in violence and extremism.
MQM’s image was attempted to destroy through Saulat Mirza’s statement.  He was addressing the MQM’s 31st foundation programmes held at various Muttahida Qaumi Movement international secretariats.  He said MQM was a democratic party and it had no space for the criminals.
“We stand side-by-side with the Pakistan armed forces for the sake of the country despite of raids at the party headquarters and arrest of the party workers,” the MQM supremo added.
Talking about Saulat Mirza’s statement, he said Mirza’s statement was a unique example in which he was allowed to read a written script against Muttahida Qaumi Movement  and later it was aired on various national TV channels just before his execution.
The elements whether they belong to civil establishment or military establishment did an illegal act of releasing Mirza’s video from death cell to defame Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
He said different analysts had stated that MQM was quite better and an acceptable political party without Altaf Hussain. “If you want me to leave, I am ready to quit the party chief slot,” he asked from the workers. The charged workers rejected the party chief’s standpoint and chanted slogans in  favour of Altaf.
