Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that there should be no room for politics at gunpoint and operation should be launched against armed wings of political parties.

Talking to the journalists here at Multan Airport on Saturday, he added that crimes like target killing and kidnapping were on rise in Karachi for the last several years and all political parties of Karachi had supported operation. “Hence this operation should be completed,” he added. He said that if any political party had an armed wing, action should be taken against it.

He greeted the nation for constitution of judicial commission and said that the decision to go to the assemblies would be made today. He said that the motive behind getting constituted the commission was to make the nation aware of the rigging in 2013 elections. He declared that the PTI would fully participate in upcoming local government elections and the workers should make preparations for the polls. He said that the PTI workers kept participating in the processions for 126 days while general public and traders also supported the viewpoint of PTI. He hoped that the polls in coming days would be transparent and fair under an independent election commission because of PTI’s efforts. He said that the talks with the government for the establishment of judicial commission had finally succeeded and Ishaq Dar exhibited a positive behaviour during this process. He said that both the PTI and government exhibited flexibility to make the talks successful. He said that the judicial commission would be an independent body which would make decisions without accepting any pressures.
