Shahbaz reviews price control actions

LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday reviewed the action on steps taken for reducing the prices of essential items, ghee and vegetable oil.
Addressing a meeting of Price Control Committee through video link at Civil Secretariat, he said that the people must get the real benefit of these cuts in the prices of such commodities.
He ordered all the institutions concerned and administration to provide relief to the people.
Warning the officials concerned that stern action would be over negligence or laxity, Shahbaz Sharif assured that profiteers and hoarders would not be allowed to exploit the people at any cost.
Separately,  Chinese Consul General in Lahore Yu Boren met the Punjab Chief Minister and discussed the matters of mutual interest and promotion of Pak-China relations.
“China is a very sincere and trustworthy friend of Pakistan and has always supported Pakistan in every hour of trial,” the chief minister said while talking to the Chinese envoy. Commending the Chinese cooperation in Pakistan’s development, he said strong friendly ties between both the countries have transformed into economic relations opening new chapters of bilateral relations have opened.
“Pak-China economic corridor is an important progress towards stability of increasing trade and economic bonds between both the countries, due to which, new era of progress and prosperity of Pakistan will usher in,” Shahbaz Sharif said.
