LAHORE - A 35-year-old drug addict was crushed to death while another man sustained severe injuries when an uncontrolled bus struck into the iron grill of a mini park at Yadgar Chowk in Tibi City police limits on Friday morning. Police investigators said the people mostly drug addicts were sleeping in mini Park in the vicinity of Minar-e-Pakistan when this untoward incident occurred about 6:30am. A bus (LHO-7177) of a local company after becoming out of control struck into the fence of the park as a result one man, yet to be identified, was crushed to death while another received severe injuries. PS Tibi City ASI Amin Ahmad Khan said one victim succumbed to wounds on the spot, while another was rushed to Mayo Hospital for his medical treatment. The condition of the inured was reported to be stable. The ASI, however, said a case has been lodged against unknown driver and conductor of the bus with no arrest till the filing of this report. Police also made numerous announcements but none of the citizens claimed to own the body, which later was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy. 4 dacoits busted Iqbal Town division CIA Police have claimed to arrest four accused of a dacoit gang including its ringleader involved in a number of cases of dacoity and robbery, besides recovering cash, cell phones and illegal weapons from them. The accused have confessed about six incidents of dacoity in the City. The arrested were identified as ringleader M Nadeem alias Don, M Kashif alias Chandu, M Zahid and Mazhar Ali. A special team had also been formed for the arrest of culprit who is still at large and further investigation is in progress.
