2 FC men among 8 killed in Balochistan violence

QUETTA - Eight people including two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed and two others sustained injuries in different incidents in various parts of the province on Saturday. Two FC personnel were killed in two different armed attacks carried out by unidentified armed assailants in Mushkey area of Awaran district and in Surab area of Kalat district. In both incidents, the attackers opened indiscriminate fire on FC convey, carrying the troops. In the first incident, an FC soldier, Aitbar Shah, was killed on the spot while in the other an FC man, yet to be identified, succumbed died in hospital. In another incident, a person namely Shahnawaz Muhammad Hasani was gunned down by unknown person near Barma Hotel in Sariab area in Quetta. Police said reason behind his killing seemed to be tribal enmity. Separately, unidentified persons opened indiscriminate fire at a trailer carrying Nato supplies in Pishin area on main Quetta-Chaman Highway, killing driver Pervaiz Khan and injuring cleaner Muhammad Amin. A shopkeeper, Syed Agha Muhammad, was killed when an unknown person opened fire on a shop. In Gundakha area of Jaffarabad, Bashir Jamali shot dead his wife Hooran and injured her alleged paramour, a police Mohim Khan. One Sanaullah committed suicide by shooting himself in his temple in Kuchlak over a family dispute. Police said Zareef Kakar died after receiving stray bullet in Aghbarg, in the outskirts.
