LAHORE  - A group of lawyers tortured a man and his sister in the court of an additional district and sessions judge during the hearing of a land case here on Wednesday.  Eyewitnesses said that Advocate Javed Iqbal Bhatti along with at least 20 accomplices entered in the courtroom and started trashing a man namely Karamat Ali and his sister Shaqufta while the judge was busy in hearing their case.  Lawyers did not even bother about the judge and kept beating both brother and sister.
Meanwhile, the judge left the hearing and went to his retiring room helplessly. The black coats continued their assault to teach them a lesion for approaching the court for justice.
The victim party called the police and personnel of Islampura police reached the spot and saved their lives. However, the police was reluctant to lodge FIR against the lawyers. The victim family had appealed to chief of Lahore High Court for justice.
Karamat Ali and his sister had filed an application in the district and sessions court against advocate Javed Iqbal Bhatti for illegally occupying their agricultural land.
