California: Molly Ringwald has been cast in the Jem and the Holograms movie. The star of 80s movie classics Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club has boarded the adaptation of the hit animated show of the same decade, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed. Juliette Lewis will also have a role in the movie, directed by Jon M Chu from a screenplay by Ryan Landels. The film ran from 1985 to 1988, follows Jerrica Benton and her alter ego, Jem, who fronts the band the Holograms on a music-driven adventure through modern Los Angeles.–BTG
