ALIPUR-A number of people staged separate protest demonstrations against the corruption in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and revenue department of Alipur.

They protested against the non-cooperative behaviour of doctors and staff of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital of Alipur. Talking to the media, they said the doctors often come late and the nurses are harsh and non-cooperative towards the patients. They never come for call to administer injections, the protesters complained.

“There are no proper arrangements for cleanliness. The medicines are not available in the hospital pharmacy. The patients have to buy expensive medicines. The owners of private medical stores set up outside the hospital grease the medical superintendent’s palm,” they said.

On the other side, local people showed serious concern over the alleged corruption of the Patwari and Tehsildar of Alipur. They told the media that they did not help the common people without bribe and commission. Even the posting of new Assistant Commissioner Abdul Ghaffar could not stop the corruption in the department, they said.

They also said that the Alipur administration usurped and embezzled the money of Kissan Package and a case against the administration officers including Tehsildar, assistant commissioner and patwaris was under trial at an Anti Corruption Court of Dera Ghazi Khan. The people demanded appropriate action against the corruption of administration officers.
