Ex-KP governor Iftikhar joins PTI

ISLAMABAD - Former governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Lt. General (Retd) Iftikhar Hussain yesterday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in a ceremony held at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad. Chairman PTI Imran Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak were present on the occasion. Chairman PTI talking to the media said that he would ask his party leadership to take on board the bar associations while making ToRs of the proposed judicial commission to probe Panama Leaks. He said that the issue of Panama leaks would not die down and the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would have to clarify his position. "Some cabinet members of PM were damaging democracy, the PML-N and Nawaz Sharif himself," he said.

"PTI aims to mobilise people against the high-profile corruption exposed by the Panama Papers," "he said adding that PTI had the sale deeds of four flats bought by PM's family. He said that PM lied on the floor of the National Assembly.

Khan reiterated his demand that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should tep down until an investigation of the Panama leaks is carried out.

PM should make public his sources of income and taxes paid, explain how the money moved abroad after the revelations of Panama Papers.
