Rawalpindi - The Mother and Child Healthcare Centre (MCHC) equipped with state-of-the-art facilities has started functioning in Rawalpindi. Five gynaecologists, six medical officers and eight nurses have been appointed at the MCHC, sources in the health department said.  Medical Superintendent of Benazir Bhutto Hospital Dr Asif Qadir Mir said that patients load on the tertiary hospital have declined the new MCHC centre has started functioning.

He said that X-ray and ultra sound machines and other equipment have been installed at the new centre.
