TOBA TEK SINGH - A former Punjab Bar Council member complained that Railways officials were creating hurdles in the renovation of Teku Park built on railways land some two decades ago. Addressing a press conference along with DBA President Mian Farrukh Iqbal and other lawyers, Ijaz Ahmad said that he had rebuilt a small hill, lake and spent money from his own pocket in the park which was previously in poor condition. He added that he had to use four pieces of rail track for the construction of a bridge over the lake for the children with the verbal permission of railways officials.

However, he said, suddenly the said iron pieces had been lifted away from the park by the railway staff.

He warned that if the pieces were not returned he and other citizens and DBA members will launch a protest against the railways officials.
