ISLAMABAD - Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) have inked an agreement to strengthen the Sehat Sahulat Program countrywide.
A statement released by the ministry here yesterday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services, Dr. Faisal Sultan, signed the contract with NADRA to extend its un-interrupted services to the Sehat Sahulat Program for another 5 years.
The services which are to be provided by NADRA include identification of families, biometric verification, family composition, patient satisfaction assessment, as third-party monitor for the program and other data related activities.
From the Ministry, the contract was signed by Federal Secretary Amir Ashraf Khawaja and from NADRA it was signed by Acting Chairman Brig (Retd) Khalid Latif.
On this occasion, Dr. Faisal Sultan briefed this program will bring robust improvement in access to quality healthcare treatment. He also informed that the Prime Minister has given a directive to provide “Indoor Universal Health Coverage” for all permanent residents Islamabad Capital Territory and Gilgit Baltistan as registered in NADRA by the end of this year.
The Sehat Sahulat Program is one of the leading initiatives of the government for the provision of free of cost indoor healthcare services from public and private sector hospitals.
