ISLAMABAD - The local chapter of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday held a rally to show solidarity with the Palestine and to condemn the Israeli atrocities being carried out against innocent and unarmed Palestinians including women and children. 

The local leadership, supporters and activists of the party participated in the rally that was organised in front of the National Press Club, Islamabad. 

According to a statement issued by the Central Media Directorate of PTI, the party held such rallies across the country at district level in front of press clubs in the light of directions of Chief Organiser PTI Senator Saifullah Khan Nyazee and on an appeal of Prime Minister Imran Khan. 

The PTI president Islamabad region Fareedur Rehman led the rally. The participants raised slogans in favour of the people of Palestine while condemning the attacks by Israeli occupation forces on innocent people. They termed such attacks as serious violations of human rights and international law. 

The participants urged the human rights organisations, and the UN Security Council to take measures for just solution of Palestine issue.

 They also condemned Israel’s assault against Palestinian worshippers in the Haram-al-Sharif (Masjid Al-Aqsa) during the holy month of Ramadan and bombardment of occupation forces in Gaza.
