ISLAMABAD (APP) The Facilitation and Taxpayers Education (FATE) wing of the Federal Board of Revenue arranged a Taxpayers Interaction Seminar at Sukkar on Monday. The evenent was organized, in collaboration with RTO Sukkur. The seminar was attended by a number of representatives from various trade bodies, including Sukkur Chamber of Commerce, Small Traders Association, Sukkar Tax Bar Association and Sukkar Cottage Industry as well as the Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners of RTO sukkur and representative from FATE Wing, FBR, Islamabad. The seminar started with recitation form the Holy Quran followed by remarks by Additional Commissioner (IR), Muzafar Ali Soomro. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Talpur, Second Secretary, FATE Wing gave a detailed presentation on working of FATE Wing followed by presentations on e-filing and IT assistance provided by PRAL. The presentations were followed by a detailed Questions & Answers session in which the taxpayers raised their concerns including simplification of return forms, discrepancy in income tax slabs, introduction of Annex-D, and removal of facility of online particulars change and demanded for extension in the filing date of income tax returns due to Hajj and forthcoming Moharram. The officers from RTO Sukkar and representative from FATE Wing, FBR responded to the questions raised during the session.
