LAHORE - Telenor Chief Executive Officer in Pakistan Michael Patrick Foley called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday and discussed the matters regarding development of communication sector.
During the meeting, the chief minister stressed the need for execution of modern technology for rapid progress and development. He said that the PML-N government had introduced 3G and 4G technology in the country, which brought improvement in telecommunication sector.
He said that the information technology had been promoted in education, health, police, land record and other important sectors.
He added that the government had also evolved a comprehensive system of monitoring with the help of modern technology which was resulting in improvement in the efficiency of various institutions.
