TANDO MUHAMMAD KHAN - Some unknown miscreants on Friday intruded on a Hindu temple in Tando Muhammad Khan, a city of Simdh province, and burnt idols and sacred books lying there.
It was the first incident of its nature in this area against which the nationalist parties staged a protest. According to Hindu community leader, Gurdhari Lal Gul, worshippers remained present till late Thursday night in the temple, located near Barrage Colony. After their departure from the temple, unknown persons burnt two idols and some sacred books of Geeta and Ramayan, he added.
The Hindu community leader said more than 200 Hindu families are living here and no such incident occurred here in the past. He was of the opinion that the incident might be a part of the wave of terror in the country.
