SIALKOT- A bomb disposal squad here defused two India-made anti-tank landmines in far-off village Mehtabpur Hunjali of Pasrur here on Friday.

According to the squad officials, the landmines were Indian-made, weighing 10kg each. They were used by Indian forces during 1971 Pak-India War, which were buried in land and could not explode. Though, these landmines were rusting but still alive.

Local labourers found these landmines while digging sand from seasonal Nullah Dek near village Mehtabpur Hunjali, Pasrur tehsil.

CASE FILED: The Anti Corruption Establishment has arrested accused Iqbal Feroz Din, secretary of Union Council Charwah-Pasrur, for issuing birth certificate with fictitious entries to village Kingra-Pasrur based Rizwan after extorting money from him.
