ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan Friday lodged protest with India over the unprovoked firing and mortar shelling across the Line of Control that killed a Pakistani soldier.  
Condemning the incident, Pakistan called upon India to restrain its security forces from unprovoked firing and shelling across the LoC and the Working Boundary.
According to Foreign Office, the Government of Pakistan on Friday lodged protest with the Government of India through diplomatic channels over the unprovoked firing and mortar shelling by the India forces in Pandu Sector across the Line of Control in which a soldier of Pakistan Army, Sepoy Zahid Ali, had embraced shahadat due to multiple mortar splinter injuries.–Staff Reporter
The Government of Pakistan offered its condolences to the bereaved family of the martyred.
