At school opening, CM talks of public trust in PML-N

LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the PML-N victory in LG elections proved THE public reposed trust in the ruling party.
The chief minster expressed these views while addressing the inaugural function of newly-constructed KPSS Secondary School under the aegis of Alif Noon Parents Foundation at Sehgalabad of Chakwal district yesterday.
Senator Abdul Qayyum, party legislators, senior government officers, teachers of the school and elites of the area were also present on the occasion.
CM Shahbaz said: “The persons imbued with the spirit of public service will be appointed to the positions of mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen and deputy chairmen of district councils.”
He said that elected representatives of local bodies are duty bound to serve the people in the real sense and resolve their problems at doorstep.
Shehbaz said service to the masses is the manifesto of PML-N.
He said that Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme has been launched for the construction and rehabilitation of roads in rural areas
He also highlighted his government’s endeavours to better South Punjab.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister assured all out cooperation of Punjab government with regard to medical facilities and education in the area and KPSS Secondary School. Immediately after his arrival, Shehbaz Sharif unveiled the plaque of the school and also talked to small children during his visit to the school. Patron-in-Chief of KPSS Secondary School Sehgalabad Malik Ashraf Nawabi, in his welcome address, threw light on the details regarding construction of the school.
Separately, CM Shehbaz expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of senior leader of PPP Makhdoom Amin Faheem. He said the deceased had ‘deep association with democracy and democratic system’. He said the services of the deceased with regard to democratic values in the country cannot be forgotten.
