LAHORE - Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad said that the Bangali Muslims had taken the most active part in making the idea of Pakistan a concrete reality.
He said it while addressing a protest demonstration was held at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan under the aegis of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust against the awarding of punishments to the supporters of a United Pakistan by Bangladesh’s pro-Indian government.
Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Prof. Dr. Rafique Ahmad, Central President of the Tehreek-i-Takmeel-i-Pakistan and former Chief Justice of the Federal Shariah Court Mian Mahboob Ahmad, Begum Safiq Ishaque, Farooque Khan Azad, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Secretary Shahid Rasheed, the office-bearers and workers of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust plus a large number of people from various walks of life participated.
Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad said how come they were now against those who advocated for a United Pakistan? It is all the mischief of India and its puppet sheikh Haseena Wajid. Chief Justice (r) Mian Mahboob Ahmad observed that India employed the evil stratagems and chicaneries advocated by its popular philosopher Chankiya to dismember Pakistan in 1971. He said that the extremist policies of the Modi government and the punishments being awarded to those whose only crime is their love for a united Pakistan are only strengthening the ideology of Pakistan.
The Muslims surely constitute a nation different from all the others. The demonstrators raised the slogans: “Death to Haseena Wajid”, India’s friend is a traitor” and “Stop persecuting the supporters of a United Pakistan”.
