Roads not our priority: Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that people are his top priority, Waqt News reported. “We will made roads afterwards,” Khan said. He thanked Awami Jamhoori Ittehad Party for joining PTI. “Time will tell that this was right decision,” he told the newly merged party.

While addressing to a rally in Swabi the PTI head claimed that next tenure in Kyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KP) is also theirs. “We will not need to run a campaign in next elections,” he added.

Khan stated that when his party formed the government for the first time in KP they came to know how badly institutions had been destroyed. “Almost 70% percent business was closed in KP because there was no peace in the province,” he said. “

We decided to rehabilitate the Police to begin with, because Police can bring peace and stability. Stability brings investment and business,” he added.

While pointing out the performance of other provinces, he challenged that any external expert would say that KP Police is best in Pakistan. “Now our Police is free and neutral. It is not under any political pressure,” he claimed.

“The second biggest issue was the corruption we faced,” he told his supporters. “So we established Pakistan’s first free accountability cell." “All Pakistani political parties have gathered against us but we will fight them,” Khan said

The PTI chairman further stated that their local body system is much better than of Punjab and Sindh. “We will give the funds at the grass root level, no matter which party the chairman belongs to,” he claimed.

“Proud nations never beg from anyone else and when PTI will be in federal power, it is my promise that we will never beg, “ Khan claimed.
