LARKANA: Deputy Commissioner, Larkana, Kashif Ali, has abandoned the inquiry ordered by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah into torture allegedly committed by a teacher of Cadet College, Larkana, on a 13-year student Muhammad Ahmed son of Rashid Mashori. The inquiry has also been ordered by GOC Pano Akil and special medical board constituted by health department.

DC told reporters here on Tuesday that investigation was already underway, hence his inquiry carries no weight. Rashid Mashori, father of the student, said that two of the member doctors of the special medical board constituted by Government of Sindh, are out of country hence he is paying for treatment of his son from his own pocket and urged the concerned authorities to immediately hold the meeting of the board. The student broke his sensitive bones of his neck after being strangulated and suffered a paralytic attack due to which his left limbs have been deadened and was under treatment at a Karachi hospital and has made no recovery since last three months, his father added. The incident took place on August 06, 2016. He further said when the college reopened after summer vacation, adding he was informed by station master GM Bhatti that his son had suffered fits. He claimed that when he reached the college his son was covered with injuries on his face, chest, head, back and lower limbs.
